Tara & Daniel's Wedding DJ At Wootton Park

Normally, I am a lot more efficient with my blogging but, alas, 2021 did not give me enough time at all!  You may recall at the start of the year, we were in the third rendition of lockdown.  Then there were a few months where we could do what we wanted to do, but not quite.  Then the summer arrives, and all of a sudden, every single wedding to have ever happened in history was squeezed into the last 6 months of the year.  This wedding DJ was certainly a very busy boy!

There are so many weddings that I want to tell you about, and I’m going to start off with Tara & Daniel’s big day at one of my regular haunts - Wootton Park in Warwickshire.

Kicking off with the first dance of Work by Jimmy Eat World (admit it – before you read that, you thought JEW only ever released one song!), it became clear quite quickly that everyone was there to have a good time.  Doffing the proverbial cap to different genres and decades ensured that everyone heard something that they enjoy, but what about Tara and Daniel?  What is it that they love to dance to?

Noughties Emo.  Oh yes.

Throughout the night, I did tease a little bit.  Chucked in a bit of Green Day here, and smidge of Blink-182 there.  Good Charlotte and Fall Out Boy made an appearance too, but when we got to the final half hour, we went full on!  Alkaline Trio, Head Automatica, Incubus, Enter Shakari…the longer that set went on for, the more I started looking around to see if anyone was handing out any black eyeliner!

To capture the first part of the night (along with the rest of the day, of course) was Beki Hare.  I’ve worked with Beki a lot over the years, and she always delivers some kick-ass photos.  I’m just sorry that she wasn’t around for the last part of the night, as I’m sure her silky skills would have grabbed even more epic photos.  You can check out Beki’s amazing work on her website by clicking here.
