Ruth & Tim’s Wedding DJ at Thorpe Garden

Having worked with the team at Shustoke Barn many times since they first opened their doors, I was excited to see that Cripps & Co. had opened a venue in Tamworth – a stunning walled garden with a hand-crafted yurt (don’t feel bad if you had to Google what a Yurt is – I needed to as well!). I thought to myself that Thorpe Garden looked like an amazing place to get married during the day and party hard into the night and when I turned up as Ruth & Tim’s Wedding DJ, I found out that I was right. Oh my, I was definitely right!

Ruth & Tim had a sizeable guest list that were just chomping at the bit to get the party started. As is the nature of the beast, this wedding was running slightly behind and that extra wait made the anticipation from those in attendance for a great party palpable. As soon as we were halfway through the first dance, guests piled onto the dancefloor in a way that suggested that the designated dancefloor area was the only section of the yurt where the floor wasn’t lava!

With a mixture of Soft Rock, 90s Pop, Soul, Motown, 80s and a smattering of Indie, this party will most certainly go down as one of the best nights that Thorpe Garden has had thus far and with my computer-controlled lightshow, the elegance of the yurt transformed into a stunning nightclub with a rocking dancefloor. As I’m sure you have probably guessed, I took the camera with me to capture some epic moments from a night that I’m sure that Ruth, Tim & Co. will remember for years to come.
