Mark's Retirement DJ at Edgbaston Stadium

I have been honoured to perform as a Professional DJ at venues regularly across Birmingham, The West Midlands & Warwickshire, but if there is an opportunity for me to spin those tunes at a venue that I haven’t been to before, then that adds an extra layer of excitement because I need to work out what sound and lighting will make that venue look and sound amazing.

Take the Warwickshire Suite at Edgbaston Stadium, for example – for years, I had lived a mere stone’s throw away, but not once did I have an enquiry to perform there and thus never had the chance to rock that dancefloor. So guess where Mark wanted to hold his retirement party after I moved to Bromsgrove?  I believe Alanis Morissette wrote a song about such serendipity...

Mark is now officially a retired Doctor after many years of service and a big send off was organised for the guest of honour. There was a three-course meal, speeches (with a PowerPoint presentation, of course!), plenty of wine and when all that was done, it was down to me to crank up the volume from ‘polite background’ to ‘full on party’ and get the dancefloor at Edgbaston Stadium rocking! 60s, 70s & 80s was on the menu for the night, with Mark & Co. dancing the night away until the very end.

The Warwickshire Suite at Edgbaston Stadium is a great room for a party. The clean, white walls of the Suite is perfect for my wash lighting and the room is acoustically fantastic – I can certainly understand why anyone would want to hold their event there!
