Laura & Dan’s Wedding DJ at Wootton Park

It was back in February when Dan dropped me a message asking whether I was available to entertain at his and Laura’s wedding at Wootton Park and from the start, I got the impression that he really wanted to find the right DJ to ensure that everyone enjoyed themselves. A few months later, I sat down with them over a drink and it became obvious very quickly that a standard ‘mobile disco’ would not suffice for this couple.

Laura & Dan were looking for a DJ who understood what they wanted for their wedding, and what they wanted was to ensure that all of their guests were given the chance to hear and dance to something that they would enjoy, but at the same time they really wanted to inject the music that they love – it was their wedding, after all! Well, this is exactly how I like to work and as we chatted over a Gin (OK, it was only me drinking Gin), I started to learn about them and get a feel of their preference – Pop Punk with a smattering of 90s Pop.

Laura & Dan are an awesome pair who were as relaxed on their wedding day as they were when I met up with them and with a stunning venue like Wootton Park, this was the perfect setting for a chilled atmosphere and that’s exactly how things started. The weather was great, and the grounds are beautiful, so I put on some Balearic Lounge music to complement the vibe but don’t start thinking that is the story of the night. I played some awesome tracks from Motown, to Indie, to Chart, to 90s Pop and we rounded off the night with plenty of Pop Punk and Rock. It’s always so much fun to see a room full of people bounce around to Blink-182, Sum 41, Green Day, Papa Roach, Electric Six and much more. There was even a moment where Dan was literally climbing the walls!  I didn't get the chance to take a photo of that moment but as you can see, I did manage to get plenty of snaps on the night.
