It’s been a record year for me when it comes to Curradine Barns. While I am a recommended Wedding DJ for some fantastic venues across the Midlands, the nature of the beast dictates that I travel around a lot and up until this year, I only had the pleasure of darkening the door of Curradine Barns – at most – once a year. In 2019, I’ve been there three times! Not the most interesting of records, I’ll admit, but it made me smile.
We’re at that time of the year where the shorts are well and truly at the back of the drawer and I’m having to dig out the trusty scarf and mittens more often. Even though the nights are longer, I’ve had the pleasure of performing for folk who party hard (probably to keep warm!) and that was no more apparent than Jo & Jon’s wedding in November.
This wedding will stick in my mind because of one section of the night – the Women’s Power Hour! This was a part of the night where Jon would take the men outside to smoke cigars and while that was happening, Jo wanted the ladies to dance to some iconic (and a little bit cheesy) tunes. I’m not entirely sure if Jon organised the cigars because of the Power Hour or if Jo wanted this section because of the cigars, but when the lads came back in and joined the ladies dancing to Shania Twain…that was a moment, to say the least!
It was a fantastic night DJing again at Curradine Barns, with Jo, Jon and all of their guests being a lot of fun. If you need a DJ in Worcestershire that will offer you something more than the standard ‘mobile disco’, then click the button below to see if I’m available!
