Helen & James' Wedding DJ at Hampton Manor

Hampton Manor in Solihull is a great place to party and I do enjoy providing a Wedding DJ service there - something that you simply wouldn’t get from the standard ‘mobile disco’. It’s a beautiful venue overall and the room that we rig for has so much character. I could see why Helen and James wanted to hold their wedding there and from the start, I knew that this was destined to be a good’un!

When Helen & James dropped me a message to ask if I would be their Wedding DJ at Hampton Manor, my remit was pretty simple: I was to play a wide variety of music from 80s Hits to House Music. A few weeks before their wedding, I sat down with them over a cuppa and I really started to drill into what they and their guests love to dance to. Artists that were mentioned were the likes of Stevie Wonder, Huey Lewis & The News, Toto, MK, Eric Prydz, Fleetwood Mac, Deadmau5, Calvin Harris and many more.

On the big day itself, to say that the newlyweds and their guests were eager to have an epic party would have been an understatement. Half way through the first dance (which, if you were wondering, was Never Too Much by Luther Vandross) the floodgates opened and that floor was rocking until midnight. How much did these guys love to party? Well, I did upload a video onto Facebook that really is the tip of the iceberg. The bits that I didn’t get to video will go down in Hampton Manor History. Generic Wedding Disco? Pah!

I doff my proverbial cap to Helen, James & Co. who all really knew how to make a party great. I’ve said it before that perfect days deserve incredible nights and booking a Wedding DJ who takes the time to get to know what you love will be a difference maker.
