Geeta & Peter’s Wedding DJ at Kilworth House

I have a lot of international wedding clients, particularly from the United States. Whether they have fond memories of visiting our shores in years gone by or that they have family ties here, the fact that those based abroad bring their friends and family over to our fair isles to celebrate their weddings really does show the quality of our venues. This time around, I had the distinct pleasure of being Geeta & Peter’s Wedding DJ in January and together we rocked the dance floor at Kilworth House.

Geeta & Peter are a delightful couple based in New York, with Peter having grown up in the UK before emigrating to the city that has much better pizza than Chicago (yeah, I said it and it’s true!). For their wedding, they chose the absolutely stunning Kilworth House and had flown their friends and family over to celebrate their big day. Having met Geeta & Peter a few months beforehand while they were adding the finishing touches to their wedding planning, I certainly had a good feel of what it is these two love to dance to – a combination of Britpop, New Wave and Hip-Hop Anthems.

The room where we set up to party is in the fully restored Victorian Orangery of Kilworth House – a beautiful room with lots of natural light. It’s also a big room and one that a typical mobile disco setup will get lost in. The computer-controlled lighting that I use at all of my events filled the Orangery with colour and the Italian made sound-system did not struggle to make Geeta & Peter’s wedding sound as good as it looked.

On hand to document the day was Duncan Cox Photography – a Worcestershire-based wedding photographer and he was kind enough to send over a few photos of that rocking dance floor at Kilworth House. As you can see, those in attendance had a whale of a time and those moments have been captured perfectly by Duncan!
