Eliot’s Après Ski Themed Birthday Party DJ in Tanworth-in-Arden

As we head towards the end of the year, I’ve had quite the run of Birthday Parties. Even though I am predominantly a Wedding DJ, I’m certainly not complaining – if there is a dancefloor that needs rocking, I will be there! Providing a service that is higher than what you would expect from a typical ‘mobile disco’ is what I pride myself on doing and when Dawne dropped me a message early one morning looking for a Party DJ for her son’s Birthday, I jumped at the chance because it looked like it would be a lot of fun.

And what a party it was for Eliot! With the event being Après Ski themed, everybody turned up dressed appropriately, with one chap turning up as Eddie The Eagle. Dawne had clearly gone to an incredible amount of effort organising the bash, from the marquee to the catering and even providing an incredible amount of drink for everyone. Then, of course, there was the entertainment. Along with myself spinning the tunes, there was an excellent band to provide some live music. Appropriately, the name of the band was Après Ski and they performed two incredible sets that really got the crowd going.

Before, in-between and after Après Ski’s sets was when I got a chance to do my thing. To tailor the music for the birthday boy and his guests, I had a chat with Eliot a few weeks before his party to find out what he loves to dance to. Eliot told me about his love of the music that he listened to when he went to university during the naughties and that was all I needed to know. I used to perform in Student Bars during that time, so I already had a feel of what he wanted for his party. Eliot also mentioned that he’d like a lot of variety to ensure that all of his guests would hear something that they would enjoy during the night and that was easy enough to cater for. This was an audience that really wanted to enjoy themselves and they were a pleasure to perform for.

Eliot also told me that he was going to have a quiet one for his birthday (if memory serves me right, I’m sure he mentioned something about playing darts in his local). Luckily, his mom made him see sense!
