Lucy & Theo's Wedding DJ at Pauntley Court
The more intimate wedding is very often an absolute joy to DJ for, especially when the venue is not only gorgeous, but also unique. Pauntley Court is an exclusive use venue in Gloucestershire that ticks both of those boxes with ease, so it goes without saying that I was very excited to be Lucy & Theo’s Wedding DJ earlier this year.
Now, as a man, I happen to know for a fact that size isn’t important. Being confident(ish) with this knowledge helped me plan the best lighting and sound for Lucy & Theo’s big day. The Ballroom in the main house at Pauntley Court is intimate whilst homely, and with a guest list of 40 people, a full installation was not needed. Doing so would very much be putting a hat on a hat and take up too much room, resulting in the space looking cluttered and sounding horrible. Pretty much the opposite of what you want on your wedding day!
If you take a look at the great photos courtesy of Copper & Blossom, you can see that the setup is still impressive, whilst leaving plenty of room for some drunken escapades, dodgy dancing and incredibly loud singing. Lucy and Theo are a fun couple, and their guest list certainly matched their personalities. Not that it was obvious though, but my experience over the years has helped me develop a sort of sixth sense to spot the signs. For example, an entire room loudly belting out Aerosmith’s 'I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing' whilst the happy couple were centre stage for their first dance was a subtle sign of Lucy & Theo’s guests being a fun bunch, but my Spidey senses did pick up on it.
From first to last, this lot were an absolute joy to party with, and I dare say that The Ballroom at Pauntley Court has never been rocked as hard as it was during the evening of Lucy & Theo’s big day – I doff my proverbial cap to you absolute legends!
